Morris (now, Moribund the Mane) used to be a camp councilor, so he knows all about pain.

-Epitaph

Moribund is a Mane who joins the Ghost Master's team at the start of Act 1. He was supposed to be the main restless spirit in the cut level I Know What You Did Last Summer Camp and was recreated for Ghost Master Complete Edition.

Appearance[]

Moribund is a man with white skin and milky white eyes. He wears a standard Scout Leader uniform consisting of a beige button-up shirt with rolled up sleeves, beige shorts held up with a brown belt with a black buckle and four pouches, olive scarf and socks, brown shoes and a baige leaders hat with a brown stripe at the bottom of it. The shirt itself is adorned with many Scout badges and other items. There is one olive studs on each shoulder, an American flag on the right sleeve, a blue and orange camping badge depicting a tent and Gravenville Scouting logo on his left sleeve, an orange and blue birdwatching badge depicting binoculars on his right brest, an olive badge with a black Spartans helmet and two crossed swords representing the Scouts group Moribund was leading (Spartans) and a yellow badge depicting a bonfire on his left brest. Moribund has a hole going through his chest on the left side of his torso. The shirt around the wound is visibly torn. Moribund's ribs and innerds are visible through the hole. The ribs themselves are broken. Moribund's face is long and visibly wrinkly, formed in a constant grimace. He is bald and his eyebrows are black and bushy.

Cut Content[]

Moribund (Known in life as Morris) was supposed to be the main bound spirit in I Know What You Did Last Summer Camp. He was once a Scout leader of a troupe of scouts named Spartans. One night, he was knocked over a railing by a group of four scouts with particular dislike for Morris. They believed that they had killed him and dumped his body in the lake located on the camp grounds even though Morris was merely unconscious. The goal of the mission was to free the spirit of Morribund and enact revenge on the four Scouts who caused his death. Moribund would have the same requirements for freeing as the other two manes, possessing a mortal. Unfortunately, his body is trapped at the bottom of a frozen lake. The method of freeing Moribund would involve getting rid of the ice by heating the area up or by using the ice fishing activity the Scouts held to your advantage and then dislodging the body from where it is trapped by using Quake or Tremor.

Trivia[]

  • Moribund along with Sick Puppy and Torchy are the first ghosts fully made from scratch by the Complete Edition team.
    • Complete Edition member Patatifique is the modeler, animator and voice actor of Moribund.
  • Moribund's uniform is very different from actual Scouts Leader uniform. They don't wear badges on their uniform as well as wearing a compleatly different set of insignia.
    • The badges themselves are not reflective of actual Scouts badges, but rather are an aproximation of actual badges.
  • Moribund's story reflects the character of Ben WIllis, the killer from 1997 Slasher movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Both were knocked unconscious and then dumped into a body of water. They both seek revenge against their killers, albeit in different ways.
  • The hole in Moribund's chest was added to make him look more interesting and dead compared to concept art and early models of him.
    • While the injury doesn't really make sense it was left in becouse the mod developers "wanted to keep up the tradition of injuries that don't make sense in ghosts".
